Pet detective finds lost cat despite coyotes.

Many people give up searching for their missing cat too soon, assuming a coyote killed their cat.

It's actually pretty rare for a coyote to be able to sneak up on a cat, catch them and consume them.

Cats have a great sense of smell; maybe not as good as a Bloodhound's but certainly better than a Bulldog's.

Cats know when a coyote has been by an area, scent marked it, or just trotted past. And they stay away.

Yes, it does happen, and yes, some cats are killed. But cars, dogs, and people kill more cats than coyotes do.

Watch the video for the story on the lost cat found on the edge of heavy coyote territory.

Take this as a lesson: Never assume or give up too soon!
