My Story
How I got into lost pet search and rescue and became a professional cat detective.
People often ask how I ended up as a pet detective for lost cats.
To explain how it started, I show them this photo from 2008 when I lived on a horse farm in Texas. This was my little cabin on Canyon Lake, where I lived with my horse, Red Rabbit and snuggler cat, Mister Purr.
When Mister Purr went missing, I learned first-hand what it feels like to have a lost cat.
No one helped me search. And no one truly understood the stress or panic.
I got a lot of random advice from people who'd never found a lost cat in their life.
If I'd followed their suggestions like "Put some food and his litter box outside!" I know Mr. Purr would have died behind the wooden fence in this photo, locked in a rancher's metal shipping container right behind my cabin,
I will never forget the joy and relief of finding Mr Purr still alive, and I'll never forget the days of intense stress and worry.
Mister Purr is why I became a full-time
Lost cat finder. Mister Purr is the reason understand how lost cat owners feel and how much they hurt.
My mission is to save lost cats who might die otherwise. I want to share the many new methods I've learned in the last 12 years.
I'm here to support the people in panic mode and be the source of proven advice and serious help for owners who don;t know any better than listening to old wives tales and bad advice.
I will never forget the experience of my own lost cat story.
And I will never forget my beloved companion and inspiration, Mister Purr.
Where did I find my lost cat?"
My "How to Find Lost Cat app" is in planning. Sign up for news or offer to help me complete my new lost Pet Finder app below.
In honor of Mr. Purr, I want to create an app based on my search guides so people can use my cat profiling and tips to get right to the key elements they need to know for their missing cat, situation and geography.
A lost cat app could make a difference in getting lost cats found for people who cannot bear to sit down and read the search guide about Finding missing cats when they're under stress.
If you know anyone who can help develop an app based on my pet detective input using decision trees, please use the form above to contact us or call for more info.
