When your indoor cat runs out the door at night and disappears during a sub-freezing cold front, panic and helplessness set in pretty quickly.
After Pita had been gone for about 12 hours, we began an Internet search of the best ways to find a lost cat. I was initially skeptical of all the pet services that popped up, given how there are several big companies out there who take advantage of pet owners and do nothing but robocalls.
